VILPE ROSS 200 Ventilation poles adorn
a care home in Vantaa, Finland
New facilities at the Atzalea Care Home in Kaivoksela, Vantaa were unveiled in November 2013. Ventilation of the underfloor space in the two-storey building was provided by VILPE ROSS 200 ventilation poles – all in all, more than 30 ROSS poles were installed at the site.
The care home was built for Minerva hoivakiinteistöt Oy, and Risto Linnakangas from Insinööritoimisto Risto Linnakangas Oy was responsible for planning the new buildings. Since his positive experiences with ROSS ventilation poles during previous projects, Linnakangas chose the same reliable and elegant solution this time. Installation openings had already been made in the units during the casting stage, and VILPE ROSS 200 wall sleeves were inserted. The ventilation poles were then installed on site.
‘The ROSS 200 ventilation pole is an attractive solution. Installation is also quick and easy, as all the necessary supplies are included in the set. The work proceeded even more quickly once the fitters realised which parts were needed for attachment and which were extra, and intended for other applications. Installing each pole took about ten minutes,’ explains Jari Salmivuori, who supervised the project for Minerva hoivakiinteistöt Oy.
