Finnish Trade Unions strike affects VILPE deliveries from next week
The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK) has announced upcoming political strikes starting next Monday, which are expected to last up to two weeks. These strikes will likely disrupt exports, affecting VILPE’s ability to meet international delivery commitments.
Particularly alarming for VILPE is the Finnish Transport Workers’ Union’s (AKT) announcement that stevedores will strike, halting freight traffic at Finnish ports. This action directly threatens our shipment processes, leading to probable delays.
This strike will unfortunately have an effect on VILPE deliveries and is likely to cause delays, meaning that VILPE cannot guarantee normal delivery times for shipments.
