Ville Sarmesto has been appointed as VILPE’s new Sales Director

Ville Sarmesto has been appointed as the new Sales Director and member of the executive team at VILPE Oy. This recruitment is a significant step forward in VILPE’s growth strategy and demonstrates the company’s strong belief in future growth, especially in the area of smart solutions. Ville will start at VILPE in May and will report to CEO Tuomas Saikkonen in his role.

Before moving to VILPE , Ville has worked for a long time in senior sales positions at Knauf Oy. In his roles, Ville has also been responsible for customer service and logistics, and he has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. In 2023, Ville also served as a visiting speaker at Aalto University in the Sales Management training program.

“VILPE’s people-centric and values-based culture creates excellent conditions for future growth and profitability goals. New innovations, investments in digitalization, and a focus on value-based sales, enable better value return for customers. I am excited to be a part of the next chapter of VILPE’s growth story,” says Ville Sarmesto.

“We were fortunate to have several excellent candidates in the final stages of the recruitment process. However, Ville stood out with his deep understanding of value creation and strategic sales management. We felt that our values also matched excellently. Ville’s integrity and coaching management style were a very strong fit for our company, which has its roots in the Ostrobothnia region. We look forward to starting our collaboration,” says Tuomas Saikkonen.

“We are strongly committed to the product development and sales of smart solutions. During the recruitment process, we discussed our future goals extensively with Ville. We share a strong common vision of the significance of digitalization in the development of construction quality and in reducing the operating costs of built properties. One of Ville’s first projects will be the recruitment of a commercial director for our expanding smart solutions business unit,” continues Tuomas Saikkonen.
