IoT Project Engineer for the development of the VILPE Sense product family
At VILPE, we want to extend the life cycle of buildings. We design and manufacture ventilation and special roofing products, and in the coming years we are investing heavily in the development of IoT solutions. We are a leading company in our field in Finland, employing 120 professionals.
We are seeking an IoT Project Engineer to develop and bring intelligent IoT solutions into production. The role combines hands-on product testing, technical understanding, and responsibility for managing development projects from idea to finished product. A suitable educational background would be a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (e.g. building technology, information technology, electronics, or software engineering). Your workplace will be in Korsholm or Vantaa. The working languages are English and Finnish. Proficiency in English is essential for the role.
Your responsibilities will include, among others:
- Testing, validation, and documentation of IoT devices and systems
- Overall responsibility for development projects
- Coordination of device development projects (electronics, mechanics, software)
- Collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Continuous improvement of development processes

- Experience in planning and executing product development projects
- Practical experience in electronics design or in guiding electronics development
- Understanding of or experience with cloud-based AI/IoT solutions
- Experience in the construction industry or construction-related solutions
- A proven track record of long-term, goal-oriented project work
- The ability to work in a team and take responsibility
