As part of our annual tradition, we wanted to support charitable organizations that do truly valuable work. Monetary donations are not the only way we do good. Every VILPE employee is encouraged to use their working hours for a good cause, for example by donating blood during work time.

In Finland, we have directed the donations to various organizations across different areas of society.

  • €10,000 to Mieli Mental Health Finland for the promotion of mental well-being.
  • €5,000 to the John Nurminen Foundation for protecting the marine environment of the Baltic Sea.
  • €5,000 to Vaasa Hope Association to support low-income families with children.
  • €1,500 to Team Rynkeby which raises funds for seriously ill children by cycling to Paris.
  • €1,000 to Vaasa cat shelter for the care of homeless cats.

In Sweden, we have donated 30,000 SEK (about 3,000 euros) to Save the Children. Our donation provides food, shelter, healthcare and education for those who need it the most. We are proud that this donation makes VILPE Sverige a Friend Company of Save the Children in 2026.

In the Baltics, we have donated €1,000 to each of the following organizations:

  • Rimantas Kaukėnas Charitable Foundation helping seriously ill children, Lithuania.
  • Latvian Ski Federation.
  • Cancer treatment support foundation The Gift of Life (Vähiravifond Kingitud Elu), Estonia.

In Poland, we have made donations to the following organizations:

  • 7,500 PLN (€1,750) to Na Ratunek Dzieciom z Chorobą Nowotworową which supports children with cancer.
  • 7,500 PLN (€1,750) to Zobacz Mnie, an organization that saves lives and supports the development of children with disabilities.
  • 5,000 PLN (€1,200) to Przytul psiaka i kociaka, an animal aid foundation.
