Name change for EC products
The names of VILPE’s EC roof fans, controllers, and service sets are changing. The change applies to all products containing the word ECo in their name. As part of the update, the letter “o” will be removed, leaving only the abbreviation EC, which refers to the electronically commutated direct current motor technology. For example, the product name VILPE ECo125 FLOW will change to VILPE EC125 FLOW in the P, S, and C series.
The reason for the name change is to ensure that VILPE’s product names comply with the EU EmpCo Directive, also known as the Green Transition Consumer Protection Directive. The change will not affect the product range or product codes, which will remain unchanged. The update does not apply to AC roof fans, controllers, or service sets.
The new product names will be updated on VILPE’s website on May 28. We will also update the names in other materials, such as installation instructions and design software, during the summer and autumn.
